Hawaii Cesarean Rates

Hawaii's NTSV cesarean rate is only 20.3%. About one-fifth of first-time moms with low-risk deliveries gave birth by cesarean.

In 2014, 19.3% of women with a previous cesarean had a vaginal birth, also known as a VBAC. This is one of the highest rates in the country.

Please contact your state department of health if you want them to report hospital-level maternity data.

If you don't see your hospital's rate on the Leapfrog Group web site, it's because they don't report their maternity data to the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. Take action! Ask them why not.
